Could anyone on this list tell me if they are researching this GIBBS family. I believe I have a lost connection to one of them and could use any info I can get on the family.1901 Census; RG13/1612 West Ham, South Leyton, 69 Ruckholt Rd., Folio 14 Page 19
Alexr Gibbs 34 London Islington Essex Leyton Clerk Confectionery
Agnes Gibbs 35 London Clerkenwell Essex Leyton
Willm Gibbs 9 Essex Leyton Essex Leyton
Annie Gibbs 8 Essex Leyton Essex Leyton
Henry Gibbs 5 Essex Leyton Essex Leyton
Alexr Gibbs 2 Essex Leyton Essex Leyton
Henry Gibbs aged 5 Scholar also appears on 1901 Census; RG13/1613 at West Ham, South Leyton, West Ham Union Schools Folio 120 Page 12
I do know this Henry Gibbs was sent to Ontario Canada July 1908 aboard the SS Tunisian from the school with a group from the Church of England as a British Home Child to become a farm boy at the age of 12. He later enlisted with the 71st O/S Batt. Canadian Army to France during WW1, as Private 126239
Many thanks,
Barbara
