Information: Back in 1994, June 29 my then girlfriend gave birth to our daughter Maryanne Lynn Kintoff, Trail, British Columbia, Canada. Unfortunally, we separated and things did not work out for the 3 of us. Our daughter was put up for adoption I think, at the age of 2 years old 1996. I fought the courts with everything I had but lost because of my age, as I was 62 years of age. Maryanne is the only child I have and will ever have and she means the world to me more than anyone will ever know. I will keep searching and this is what gives me my strength from day to day. Just to add I have been interviewed on our local television news in my search for Maryanne, posted search notices in the personal colums in our local newspapers, I talk with any and everyone I meet, in my quest for my search for my Maryanne. Information: I am looking for James Edward Dunn. Jimmy if you read this, please give your father a chance. He has regretted his decision ever since. He thinks of you and your brother constantly and wonders how you are, where you are, what you are doing. We have a few pictures of you. Your grandmother sent them to PawPaw and he gave them to Michael. I am your birth fathers' third wife. I was very angry with him for a time after I found out about you and your brother. I felt he was spineless and weak for not fighting the adoption. I also was and am very angry at his second wife for not supporting him regarding you two. I understand your mothers feelings - I have two kids by a deadbeat dad. My mother was adopted and my best friend was adopted. My mother did not find her birth father until after he died and she has had to accept that she will never get some of those questions answered and she also found out about four siblings, all of whom were also dead. She has one birth sister living. My best friend is so deeply angry she has no desire whatsoever to contact her birth parents. I am asking you to give your father a chance. He loves you, always has, always will. You are his first born. Also remember, he was younger than you are now when he became a father and he did the best he could. I have no excuses to offer for his decision. I still get mad sometimes because I don't truly understand - someone would have to kill me to take my kids from me. But I also know he does love you and he did what he thought was best for everyone involved AT THE TIME. I also know your sisters and brother would like a relationship with you. I also would very much like you to be a part of our lives. Funny how time changes things. He and Heidi are no longer married. They split less than a year after the adoption. He has sole custody of your "other" brother and sisters. And Jimmy, he IS a good father, truly. I hope you can find it in your heart to contact us. May God bless you. (PS...He has no bitterness towards your mother, he feels she did what she felt was neccesary to provide a good life for you. He says she was an excellent mother also. In fact I have never heard him speak negatively of her.)
